Behind the Goldfields heritage area is Jones Creek, an idyllic natural stream with a large area set aside for recreational gold panning. This is a fantastic spot to relax, enjoy a picnic lunch and listen to the native birds. The gigantic Roddy nugget was found on the banks of this stream; so come on, hire a pan and shovel and find your fortune!

Pans and shovels can be hired from Information centre for $5.00 ($20 security deposit required). We also have small pans for sale at $8.00.
